Nu poți să spui remixare fără să te gândești la “Read my lips” a lui Soderberg! Mă refer la varianta Endless Love, susținută atât de emoționant de Bush și Blair. De fapt nu spun eu asta ci Lawrence Lessig în Remix, o carte pe care tot o răsfoiesc și din care tot culeg, extrag, învâț, mai ales în perioada asta în care am înțeles să aprofundez parodia, ca formă de reeditate, modificatoare în raport cu o operă protejată de drepturi de autor. Văd parodia ca una dintre formele de remixare, de a căror natură complexă vorbea și Lessig și este suprinzător că, între atâtea tratate superficiale a ceea ce înseamnă utilizare liberă, excepție/limitare a drepturilor de autor, cineva a pus semnul egal între citate și remixări. Cineva a înțeles că remixarea este în concret o transpunere a ceea ce însemna în trecut utilizarea diverselor citate/extrase în cadrul unei opere noi, distincte și evident, originale în ansamblul său. Nevoia de a folosi scurte extrase din operele aparținând altor autori a justificat reglementarea limitelor exercitării dreptului de autor, și, în mod similar, același lucru ar trebui să se întâmple și în cazul folosirii scurtelor fragmente de înregistrări audio și video.
